Transforming the way Europe manages its fisheries is critical in the fight to combat dwindling fish stocks and protect the marine environment for future generations.
For 30 years poor decisions by Europe’s fisheries ministers have been bankrupting our oceans. Two thirds of Europe’s commercial fish stocks are over-exploited and every year more fishermen are losing their jobs.
Now there’s a chance to send leading Members of the European Parliament responsible for input into the reform of the Common Fisheries Policy a message: demand that they put Europe’s fishing industry back on the road to prosperity and stop bankrupting our oceans!
